Switzerland, Iceland, and Norway are EFTA members (European Free Trade Association). The remaining countries are referred to as third countries.
Shipments between EFTA countries and third-country destinations must always be registered with customs.
This necessitates the following:
EORI code (Economic Operators Registration and Identification). The German customs office is contacted to obtain the EORI number.
Commercial invoice: the original and three copies (except in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Norway, where only the original business invoice is required). When the dispatch note is created, the commercial invoice is automatically generated.
Customs declaration (CN22 or CN23) for postal service shipments (DHL). When the shipment note is created, these are automatically generated.
Fittings/delivery criteria for calculating the recipient's and/or sender's customs clearance expenses:
From a value of 1,000 €, an electronic export declaration is necessary.
If the value of the items is less than 6,000 €, a statement of origin must be included on the business invoice.
From a value of 6,000 €, a customs-stamped movement certificate EUR.1 is also necessary.
Please note that shipments with incomplete or incorrect customs information are returned for a fee.
